About

Hey! I’m Sarah Mitchell. When I was in third grade, I wrote a letter to my state senator advocating for the protection of a genetically rare deer herd. Eight-year-old me knew the power of writing. I’ve spent my life fascinated by the art and science of storytelling– so much so that I’ve made it my career.

Using the written word to drive positive outcomes lights me up. I’ve used my writing chops to co-author a policy paper advocating for more genocide-prevention lessons in classrooms. I’ve helped nonprofits communicate their groundbreaking healthcare advancements and get funded for it. But my favorite stories to tell are ones that celebrate and inspire humans’ connection to the natural world. I’m a sucker for any book on thru-hiking– bonus points if it’s an underdog shattering norms.

I’m particularly drawn to serving the outdoor industry for two reasons: one, because I’m an outdoor recreationist myself. I feel most beautiful when I’ve been crushing miles in the backcountry for 8 days without a proper shower. And two, because I believe that connecting people with nature is one of the most life-affirming things you can do. Partnering with my clients to make this happen is what gets me excited to jump out of bed each morning.
